Here Vincenza Tarantino together with Michele Guidi, other colleagues of @unipa_it tried to answer the question by reviewing the current evidence on the topic.

New paper out#2 Behavioral and Socio-Emotional Disorders in Intellectual Giftedness: A Systematic Review pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36181607/ Is intelligence a good predictor of psychological wellbeings in "gifted" children?

What results? The patients with temporal lobe epilepsy display dysregulated network reconfiguration, with lower flexibility in the brain areas related to cognitive control and attention, together with excessive inter-network communication (integration index).

Here we tried to unfold the relationship between resting cortical functional connectivity and neuropsychological perfomance in patients with epilepsy vs controls by means of source-resolved HD-EEG.
