Finally put out the WIP of my Sonic mod for Superstars! Should be fully functional in normal play, it just might not work right in cutscenes or 2p, plus no Super yet

@UltraDaimao Honestly with how much people were trashing this game on Twitter I just assumed nobody would care if I put it out so I didn't bother lol, but knowing there's still demand for it I'm gonna try to release what I have so far soon so people can at least try what's done

@AlbarnsDemon The top spike on his head always droops down so much that he looks kinda bald to me LOL. They don't need to copy Toei or Jam Sonic to make him good tho, I feel like Fighters gave them a great blueprint to work from but they just didn't use it 😭

Everyone on Sonic twt wants to talk about how bad the Modern Sonic model is. But I think we are focusing our hate on the wrong thing here. CLASSICS SONIC MODEL AND MODERN DAY DESIGN IS ACTUALLY TERRIBLE. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS???

@SubsonicSparkIe I wonder if they removed the voice clips since they added Tails and Knux and didnt know how to make em sound if they got 1ups, jumped from the level, etc, and making everyone mute was a simple fix. Then again, it wouldnt explain Amy's yelp as she's the only one who does it 🤔

Even a tiny detail like Amy not yelping anymore when she gets kindapped stands out. Just makes the moment feel a lot more limp and passive. I wonder what they were thinking with that 🤷

Sonic Origins has lots of little flaws, but most of them aren't the end of the world. Sonic 1, 2 and CD are mostly just fine. Its biggest screw-up by far imo is how they ruined this beauitful scene.

@Cosmic1Eternity @RealShadowFan01 I dont think its greedy to want a branch of the series to continue alongside what Modern's doing when it's not interfering with those games, especially when his games HAVE been indulging in the 00s era lately, it's *especially* less greedy than insisting Sonic games can (1/2)

If sega wants to truly evolve the sonic series first they need to take classic sonic out back and put him down like a dog. Classic sonic is the reason this series has been stagnated for so long and hes overstayed his welcome. Sega needs to stop pandering to these 40 yr sonic fans

@BeforeThe_Night To what I want, especially when modern games keep neglecting stuff I like from the classics like proper rolling and branching levels. To summarize I'd rather a flawed continuation of the Sonic I like best than only getting ones not even trying to capture what I like about them

@BeforeThe_Night I have my problems with nu-classic sonic too don't get me wrong (I could go on and on about my gripes) but I have a much better time replaying Superstars levels than say Frontiers, there's stuff that could use fixing with the current classic stuff but they're overall much closer

I don't entirely disagree with them honestly I'd rather SEGA just go full steam ahead with Modern than try and cling to this bastardized version of Classic Sonic. Either do Classic Sonic right or don't do him at all.
Brand identity wouldn't allow SEGA to do him right.

Modern Sonic fans hoping for the end of Classic Sonic are making me turn into one of those old-time 2000s YouTubers that hate anything with "gross green-eyed Sonic" I'm gonna start being really jaded towards Modern Sonic from now on with how much they hate Classic
