2J enjoyed celebrating the 100th day of school today! They came dressed as their best 100 year old selves.

3Z had a great time investigating fossils this afternoon as part of our unit about the Earth’s surface.

Miss Cook’s Kindergarten class had so much fun learning about and celebrating Holi last week! Students drew self-portraits and then had a blast throwing powdered paint at their portraits. It was such a fun and colourful way to learn about this celebration of new beginnings! 🎨

The Honorable Salma Lakhani, the 19th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, recently visited our Grade 6 students to share her powerful journey as a refugee from Uganda. Her message highlighted Canada as a beacon of hope and that inclusivity ensures a brighter future for everyone.

Carnival Snow sculpting in a squall!

2J did an amazing job presenting about the bear and Courage today!

Gish Scientists had a blast at the Edmonton Regional Science Olympics on Sunday, February 22! Our four teams achieved one bronze and three silver ribbons in our events. Thank you to the co-coaches and all of the students for such a memorable day!

Save the date for our upcoming Jr. High Open House @ Elmer Gish on Tuesday, March 10, at 6:00 PM in the school library. All grade 6 students are strongly encouraged to attend for an evening of building exploration and a first look at the exciting opportunities awaiting them!

Our Gr. 6 student, Naza, is visiting our kindergarten to Grade 3 classrooms sharing her book, Friends Not Foes! We are so proud of her!

It's the most wonderful time of the Semester! Foods 8/9 students wrapped up their options with the classic Cooking Challenge. With a budget of just $30, students prepared and presented dishes to a panel of judges.
