Buildings in LandBox will go up for a bidding system. Those who already claimed a building via GitGame prior to 4/10/2024 will automatically get a building. There will be visuals where people can see what buildings are available through the web. Buildings do not go up for sale until the functionality is complete. Ex: Store selling a crafting item for 50 GITS. House displaying a gallery of art. Whitelist of who can enter a building etc. Once we complete the coding of that functionality is when we will release a bid for WAX or $LANBX (Need to find out from @neftyblocks) how to get LANBX on the list). Thanks Alcie. And I do get the confusion now. The reason @GitGameio was asked to reach out to me was because I was the only one not outright recommending to reject his proposal. "Ok, it seems they're still reviewing. The OIGs lean towards rejecting it but wanted to see if the proposal can be changed from your end. So it'd be best to reach out to Kaefer for this" This essentially is where it stopped. He did not reach out to me, and I did not reach out to him. While the OIG doesn't make any decisions, the recommendation still holds some weight, even more so, if we are able to explain why we decided the way we did. We usually try to be unanimous in our recommendation. If we are not, we usually try to connect with the proposer, talk through the project, raise our concerns, or recommend adjustments. This is either done by the proposer being asked to reach out to us, or an individual IG reaching out to them; in most cases that's the IG that deviates from the others in his opinion. From there, we either schedule a call with the proposer with the entire OIG, or the individual IG circles back and shares what he learned in an internal discussion where we either decide how to move forward, finalize our recommendation, or explain why we abstain from giving one. In this case, neither happened, and no final recommendation was given. In cases like this, the WAX team either decides on its own, leaves the proposal open, or marks the proposal as "to be improved" with the request to connect with the OIG or an otherwise specific comment of their own. The whole thing with these recommendations is, that we do it because we want to improve the quality of submissions and decisions, not because it's our job as OIG. The OIG is in a unique position to give feedback on proposals due to the Guild evalautions and being part of the community. This gives us more insight into what is done and built on WAX and what is potentially needed. We currently have over 200 active contributions/projects from Guilds alone. This comes on top of what is built by the community and other companies or projects. The main reason we provide feedback is to prevent abuse, as we have seen in the past, where proposers took the work of others and 'sold' it to WAX Labs as new, simply because the WAX team didn't know it existed. But our actual work as OIG always takes priority over our contributions to WAX labs. So we can't always chase every proposer down to talk to them. Even if we do connect with them, it can take quite some time until things are sorted if there is no clear recommendation on our end, simply because we have to fit these calls and discussions in between all the other stuff we have to do.

@kaefergeneral @WAX_io Why would I have to reach out to you? If you didn’t reject it? What powers do you have then? Why would OIGs geared towards rejection? You actually said it yourself they ask for feedback to you. So not sure which one it is now… 🤔

Hey @GitGameio, Sorry for the confusion, but I do not have any say in what is or isn't approved on WAX Labs. The WAX team asks the OIG for feedback, but ultimately they are the ones making the decision. It does make sense to reach out to us and talk about your proposal so we can better understand what you are building, and represent your project to WAX. But ultimately it's them making the decision. Even starting a discussion on the official WAX Labs channel to talk about your proposal and gather feedback. But publicly blaming someone on Twitter for something he isn't in charge of, definitely isn't the way ;)

Hot take🔥: Can we stop using active wallet addresses as the key metric for blockchains? Most of these metrics are botted or low value. Instead, we should be looking at the amount of money spent and user engagement on these platforms. Why isn’t this metric valuable to track? I’ve spoken to several chains and games, and their main method to drive this number up is through questing or achievement platforms. The problem is that users just hop from game to game to collect their loot, and there is little to retention. Web3 guilds and questing platforms selling wallet activity based on a dollar per user basis is not the way forward. Instead the focus should be on collabs, content, live events, and tournaments.
