We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mick Hunt, former Head Groundsman at Lord's. Mick was a very popular character among MCC Members and staff, and his huge smile a permanent feature around the Ground for 49 years, having joined the Lord's groundstaff in 1969 and retiring in 2018. Few people can attest to being so indelibly connected to the history of Lord's. We offer our sincere condolences to his family.

A golfing landmark achieved today my 700th course. Played a round at Titirangi #NewZealand. Spotted this emblem of @EastDevonGC on the course. Homeward bound tomorrow. 😀

This was Richard Thompson last year: "Those hard, dusty wickets in late August and September are part of the nuance of Test cricket. Finishing the Test season in July means the whole season feels truncated. The Test summer absolutely will not be squeezed like this in future."

"Here we are. With another summer's schedule announced and the Test summer finishing, at best, on August 4." ECB fail to deliver on Test summer promises | @GeorgeDobell1 thecricketer.com/Topics/england…

A fantastic innings by Pope. What a BRILLIANT game test cricket is that allows these amazing achievements of endurance. Switch over and see the rising star Joseph get 5-51 against Australia. And people want to limit this format!! #longlivetestcricket

What a day of Test cricket #hyderabad #brisbane as it proves the pinaccle of all formats. Skill (Pope, Stokes), character (Hartley) and nerve ( Stokes again) all on show for England. One of @ECB_cricket great victories in recent times.
