@mm_jj_nn I've been programming forever and I still check what's the exact syntax of a switch statement... but what @moultano said, and also a big part of "passing" as an competent person is to be able to sustain a casual conversation on your topic live.

A common student argument against closed book exams is that the real world is open book. But to some extent I think it actually isn't, especially for basic material? Nobody is going to tolerate a supposed professional who has to look up basic stuff all the time.
