This presumably means more Ryan Kreidler at shortstop and Brooks Lee serving as the backup shortstop.
Lee last started a game at shortstop on May 19, playing exclusively third base since then.

Twins activated Byron Buxton from the injured list and optioned Tristan Gray to Triple-A. Somewhat surprising they demoted Gray, because they've continued to play him semi-regularly. But also Gray has hit just .216 with a .526 OPS since May 1, so the performance warranted it.

Royce Lewis is starting at second base for the first time since June 11, as a way for the Twins to get Ryan Jeffers, Victor Caratini, and Josh Bell in the lineup together vs. a left-handed pitcher.
Jeffers is catching, with Caratini at first base and Bell at designated hitter.
