Version 1.1.0 Release This build includes a small client update: fault lines can now be toggled with the F key. Alongside that, we’ve shipped several minor optimizations to reduce rendering artifacts and make the client feel smoother overall. globalquake.net/download

The exact timeline for the v1.2.0 release is currently unknown, but stay tuned for further updates!

If the progress goes well, the outputs of these neural networks could eventually replace the traditional STA/LTA p-wave picking strategy currently used in GlobalQuake, leading to much more robust detection in noisy environments.

We are now focusing on the technical hurdle of optimizing the model inference to run 24/7 in the cloud. Once we finalize that infrastructure, we expect to ship this feature in the v1.2.0 update.

Despite a limited training dataset, the preliminary results on past events are highly promising. In ideal conditions, fault plane solutions are correctly calculated even for events as small as magnitude 2.0!
