People seem incapable of understanding that one of the major reasons body-shaming is bad is that while you may think you’re shaming a person/people, you are actually shaming a body type or feature(s). So if you’re not willing to accept that everyone who has similar features — including your friends, parents, relatives, colleagues — should share in that shame, you should refrain from perpetuating it.
