@JillFilipovic Roasted chickpeas have been my "I don't know what else to make" fallback option for ages. Drain & rinse a can, toss in olive oil and seasoning, spread out on a sheet pan (covered w/ parchment paper, easy cleanup). 425 °F for 30 mins. Throw them on a salad, or cauliflower rice.

I am literally so hungry but can't really eat much ... still subsisting on crackers, soup, applesauce, and Pedialyte Popsicles. The worst of Norovirus is over, I've had it since Sunday, but I'm still achy & exhausted. Ugh.

@TheNerdyCatLady I mean, yes, everybody needs to learn to survive the brokass stage of early adulthood, but I'm not quite senile enough yet to pretend that housing, gas, groceries, & nearly everything else hasn't gone insane in the past 6 yrs, let alone the last 25. It's genuinely harder today.

I'm an older Millenial, 41, don't let the bastards gaslight you. My dad worked 1 job, my mom never worked, we had soda every day, chain pizza on Fridays, McDonald's & Burger King often. We also did 1 vacation every summer. We were not middle class in Central IN. People are lying.

@_PrezDez_ @EchoingStardust Ah, thank you, I missed that. Most of the recipes I've used have parmesean, herbs, and olive oil, so they end up a bit more expensive.

@EchoingStardust It really seems like they vastly overestimated the price of the chicken (unless there's way more there than it looks like) and underestimated the pesto and garlic bread.
