In local elections up and down the country, the Liberal Democrats are winning week-in, week-out.

Keir Starmer wants to force everyone to have a digital ID. But the Liberal Democrats say that’s not the kind of country we should be. Instead, the government should focus on fixing real problems like the NHS and social care.

Liberal Democrats cannot support mandatory digital IDs. People shouldn't be criminalised just because they don't want to hand over their private data.
