MENTALLY ILL AMONG FAMILY. NORMAL AMONG STRANGERS
So a few weeks ago, I got an email from an officer from another agency about a missing woman. She suspected the missing woman was in Skid Row. For some reason, she had a psychotic break, got in her car and just drove. Her family was really concerned. I promised to look for her. I searched for days with no luck. I was about to give up, when I saw her car in a really dangerous part of my beat. Windows shattered out and stripped of a few parts; I was concerned that something bad happened. A grungy man with a graveled voice said to me “Joseph! She gone’. Just parked the mutha f*cka and kept it pushin’”
More days passed. Until last week. Some of my Skid Row peeps ran up to me on my foot beat yelling “We found her! She on San Julian!” So I walked over to the location and there she was. For this post we will call her “blondie”. She was a beautiful dark skinned sister with a blond wig. I introduced myself to her.
Me: Hey Ma’am. I’m Joseph.
Blondie: I heard you were looking for me.
Me: Well… Yeah. Your people are worried about you.
Blondie: (Chuckled) My people? My people are here. I’m okay. Tell them I’m fine. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.
Me: Ok. But what about your car? They messed it up real nice.
Blondie: It belongs to the streets and so do I.
I bowed my head in disappointment and walked away, praying for her in my heart. Something in me always wants to know when and how someone becomes so broken that they choose one of the the most dangerous places for a woman to land.
Today, I walked another foot beat. I was passing out a missing persons flier for another sista. I walked past her smiled and said “Hello again.” She didn’t speak at first. Then said “Watcha got?” I gave her the flier and asked her to look out for this missing woman. She takes the flier and I start walking away.
She called to me and said the following. “She probably doesn’t want to be found, like me.” I walked back to her and said “Why here my friend? I’m worried about you.” She looked at the flier again and said. “Because I’m tired of my family treating me I’m crazy. No one thinks I crazy here.” I looked at the surroundings and saw dozens of people who I’ve know for years ambling about who hadn’t been medicated for months. Ticking time bombs who delayed the fuse just because I was present. I looked back at her and I think I understood.
It wasn’t safe, but in her mind, she was the normal one for once.
Keep Blondie in your prayers. Hoping she opens up to me more so I can help her.

@Gitmo99 What? Better to be safe than sorry than missing a child.

An Atlanta kindergarten teacher was fired after using a safety tether rope to keep 12 children together during a park field trip. A parent filmed the children "tied up" and accused the teacher of humiliation, leading to termination over school image concerns.
The incident sparked a debate, with some viewing the method as degrading and others arguing it was a necessary safety measure for young children in public. #HIAW 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@TheOfficerTatum Well you can't blame it on the mayor, it the community. Because the other is on the other street in providence and he is not tearing that one down.

One week with Bumpy! Like any baby, he sleeps deeply and often – especially snuggled up to his Keeper, with a tummy full of milk.
Bumpy was rescued just last weekend, after the Kenya Wildlife Service received reports of a deceased female hippo with an orphan left behind. She appears to have died in a territorial fight, likely defending her baby’s life. Bumpy had stayed huddled beside his mother’s body for at least a day.
Now, Bumpy has a family with us and a wild future ahead. He’ll never be alone again – Keepers like Joseph, pictured here, are with him around the clock, loving him and attending to his every need. As you can see, he is lapping it up!

@ScottPresler What is wrong with humanity and people. It was unbelievable when Rob Reiner was killed, that was awful, and never wished death on anyone.

@LauraPowellEsq She just named called, democrats can't take responsibility.

@GuntherEagleman The problem is, how is the rich going to sell their property if they leave NYC..they can't... they will tax their property higher, and that is how NYC will get their money.
English

@lalovestrump If this poll is truly after the debate, I'm not sure what is going on in the U.S. LA will sink like NYC and then the RNC will need to come in to fix it after years of failure. Rinse/Repeat. If you vote in LA and put a non-commen sense person in, you deserve your city to fail.

This is such bullshit

POST-DEBATE LOS ANGELES MAYOR ODDS (+/- change from before)
English

@EndWokeness I hope so. People dont care lately. They just vote for who is in as mayor, which is awful. You should listen to what the issues are and listen to the debate and vote based on who is stronger to fix the issues.
English

@itslinklauren I saw the debate, some topics he didn't mention how he was going to fix it, but he looked promising. Karen Bass looked better than the council women on answering straightforward questions.
English

@joeroganhq I dont care, but others might call him out for having a house in another town unless his wife and kids are in the trailer with him.
