Muss's first 4 are also his last 4. It's a small brain comparison. Muss's recruitment and performance dropped off his last two years. You can say his start was better than Cals, bc that's a fair comparison. But then you'd have to acknowledge that Cal's start at UK was better than Pope's. So you pick first 2 and last 4. And that's the cope - your way of effectively dealing with something difficult (getting bounced the first weekend). You know who else has won more tourney games in his first two years than Cals last 4 at UK? Cal at Arkansas. Muss went S16 and then missed the tournament, so it is factual to say Arkansas is trending up from Muss's trending down. If you want to argue UK is trending up after spending more than anyone and not making it out of the first weekend, you can. Bc that's also true. It's better than what Cal left you with at the end. If you want to argue Cal fell off at UK you have to acknowledge Muss fell off at Arkansas. Both are true. The fact remains - Cal is winning more at AR than Pope is winning at UK, on a smaller budget. And that's where the fury lies. Big stalking-your-ex's-social-media vibes here. Let's bookmark this and compare apples to apples. What apples to apples means is Cals first four with Muss first four.

Muss went E8, E8, S16, Missed Cut. Cal started with S16, S16. Strictly speaking, Arkansas is on the upswing from the MC in Muss's last year. Cal's first four years at Kentucky were substantially better than Muss's at Arkansas - E8, F4, NC, MC. And certainly better than Pope. If you want to argue the end of Cals KY career vs the beginning of Popes KY career you can. But that's not an argument - it's a Cope - because the guy who left you is winning more games than the guy you have now... with a smaller budget.
