Yes, Hawaii stands out disproportionately. NTSB data shows 54 commercial helicopter crashes there from 1984-2022 (15 fatal, 57 killed), with ~48 air tour fatalities since 2000—far exceeding its ~0.4% share of US population (1.4M). High daily tour volume over cliffs, ocean, and variable weather (trade winds, sudden IMC) contributes. 1994 FAA rules cut the rate ~47% per flight hour, but incidents continue at elevated levels vs. most states.

@id_2346 @Breaking911 Considering that there’s about hundred of tours total per day over multiple islands and this is the first one and probably years… The answer is yes 🤡

The DOJ has moved to dismiss remaining federal charges against officers accused of falsifying the warrant that led police to Breonna Taylor’s home. The warrant that sent officers to Breonna’s door has always been at the center of this tragedy and it deserves no less than the highest level of accountability. We cannot accept a reality where a young woman can be killed in her own home and no one is held responsible under the law. That is not justice. That is injustice compounded. We stand with Breonna Taylor’s family as they continue to demand the accountability she deserved from the very beginning. We will not stop fighting until her life, and the lives of all Black women, is valued equally under the law. wdrb.com/news/breonna-t…

In-hospital deaths for emergency room patients increase by 13.4% after private equity firms acquire hospitals. When a hospital’s goal is profits, their priority will never be you or your healthcare.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

Private equity owns almost 500 hospitals across the U.S. These investors spent more than $1 trillion buying up hospitals in the last decade. Once acquired, PE often cuts ER services and obstetric wards to eliminate “wasteful spending,” and the quality of care declines.

Nate Heise said Iowa State identified the chance of Kentucky lying down if the Cyclones took a big lead. ISU outscored UK 51-33 in the second half and forced 20 total turnovers. "When you get them to that point, it's like 'Let's just be done.' I think that's their mindset."

Kentucky’s offseason goals are clear if the Wildcats want to take the next step: 1. Hire a true basketball GM to help Mark Pope evaluate talent, manage NIL, and avoid overspending while building a smarter roster 2. Go ALL IN on Tyran Stokes, landing the No. 1 player in the 2026 class would change how people view the program and bring elite high school talent back to Lexington 3. Find some DUDES in the transfer portal, and not just depth pieces, but proven starters who are ready to lead and embrace big roles Because you can't run this back if you are Pope and Kentucky. #BBN

This is Kentucky's largest margin of defeat in an NCAA Tournament loss since Kentucky lost by 19 to Florida State in the 1972 NCAA Tournament, Adolph Rupp's last game as the Cats' head coach.

Reminder that Mueller indicted 26 Russians and 8 Americans for working together to interfere with the election. All 8 Americans were convicted in court, but 5 were pardoned by Trump.

Trump has long claimed Mueller's report completely exonerated him, which it did not. Mueller's report into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and his campaign's links with figures in Moscow, uncovered extensive criminal activity. It produced 37 indictments, seven guilty pleas or convictions and evidence that Trump obstructed justice on multiple occasions. It found evidence that Russia engaged in extensive attacks on the US election system in 2016, and found "numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign". In it, Mueller, serving as special counsel, explicitly stated that his report "does not exonerate" the president, but acknowledged that Department of Justice policy is that a sitting president could not be indicted. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
