@NigelIrwin58430 Hi Nigel It does log drives. It doesn't need to log locations if that's what concerns you. Customers can turn off location tracking in the app. The device itself does not have GPS because we designed it to be private for those who want that.

If you drive a lot you may want to consider an automated logging device, like GOFAR, as these typically do not miss trips, nor record phantom "passenger trips" and are kinder to your phone battery. However if you're disciplined about keeping the app running and cleaning out the phantom passenger trips then apps can be fine and Driversnote is fine.

@excess_sarcasm 3. Apps get shut down by the phone operating system (often weekly), meaning no trips are recorded until you notice and reopen the app. This happens to GOFAR too but when our app is shut down all the trips just record to the device so you don't miss anything deductions.
