@GoGeneralDan Go is arguably harder than chess tho. Go is territorial, couple with its strategies and tactics.

They say Go is more fun and harder than chess. 👀⚫⚪ After introducing it to some beginners, I think I understand why. 😂 #chess #go

The Village Virgin Girl: Naya and the Talking Drum In the village of Umu-oka, there was a girl everyone called “the virgin girl.” Not because of what she hadn’t done. But because of what she _hadn’t broken_. Naya was 17. In Umu-oka, that title meant you were the keeper. Keeper of the old songs. Keeper of the clean well. Keeper of the promise the village made to itself: _We will not sell our future for quick money._ Every year during the dry season, outsiders came. Men in big cars with papers and promises. “Sell the forest,” they’d say. “We’ll build a factory. Your people will be rich.” The elders would argue. The young men would be tempted. And then Naya would walk to the center square. She wasn’t loud. She didn’t have a title. But tradition said: _When the virgin girl speaks with the talking drum, the village must listen._ So she’d sit, beat the drum once, and tell a story. About the first women who planted the iroko trees so their grandchildren would have shade. About the river that gave fish even in famine, because no one poisoned it. About how “rich” isn’t money in a hand, but water in a well and names that aren’t forgotten. Year after year, the men with papers left. On Naya’s 18th birthday, the village didn’t give her gold. They gave her something better. They brought the children to her and said: “Teach them the songs.” Because they finally understood: The “virgin girl” wasn’t pure because she was untouched. She was powerful because she was _undivided_. Her loyalty wasn’t for sale. Her voice wasn’t for rent. And a village that remembers who it is, that’s the richest village of all. The point: Sometimes the most powerful person in the room isn’t the one with power. It’s the one who refuses to trade what matters. Warick Writes
