Even Cal fans love Christian McCaffrey. You love to see it.

Wilson’s Cooper George (3) pitched a three-hitter with no earned runs and 10 (!) strikeouts in 6 IP, while Eddie Becker (5) went 2-for-3 with a home run in the Bruins’ win.

We wake up each day hoping to make our corner of the world a better place, and that’s exactly what Jason Collins did. I have no connection to him except that we each went to the same school, but tonight that makes me proud. Tomorrow I’ll try to make my world a better place.

It was possible, it turned out, for a man to be gay and also be one of the best athletes in the world. It was an act of bravery that likely resonated in ways we can’t imagine.

Jason Collins passed away today at the age of 47 after a battle with brain cancer, and this makes me sad. Please take a minute to read this thread…🧵

Well, you could make the argument that it’s good for Stanford to let UCLA win a natty from time to time, just to keep the overall race (139-127) mildly interesting.

@TwistNH7 This is a problem with far too many programs. Ondine’s statement is almost identical to the departing statements of all the women who fled Stanford women’s basketball this spring. The message: now that athletes have freedom, they won’t put up with abuse. Coaches be warned.

People can argue over whether stanford or cal is better known abroad but the simple reality is that these two transfers going from cal to stanford in gymnastics is causing some pretty bad PR for Cal. Not a great situation at the moment.

I know the gymternet hates school reputation/good school discourse but I assure you that Stanford is far more known and impressive abroad than University of California Berkeley And before you come for me yes I am aware Cal is an excellent school

It’s truly ridiculous. It’s like covering an Olympic race but showing one or two runners rather than the whole field.

ESPN is showing the NCAA women’s beach volleyball championship right now. With three matches playing at once (soon five) I can’t understand why @espn wouldn’t have all the scores on the screen at once. It seems obvious, right? PS — Let’s go @StanfordBeachVB!

Just learning that Stanford has branded its 50-year championship streak “the Hyperion Streak,” referencing the world’s tallest tree. I approve. 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
