BRIGHT COMET ALERT THIS MONTH! Our photo of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, observed 14/10/24, may be similar to the view of Comet A6 Lemmon which has brightened in recent days. Astronomers predict it will become visible naked-eye around 20/10/25. Clear skies! #Astronomy #stargazing

@SabrinaGal182 Astronomers call this "a new Moon" and it happens every calendar month, sometimes twice during a month. That's all that's special about it, although with no Moon at night it means the skies are dark and a great time to go stargazing! #blackmoon #blackmoonnonsense

On August 22, a rare "black moon" will rise in the sky, writes the Daily Mail. The new moon occurs between the Earth and the Sun, so the side facing the Earth remains in shadow. This phenomenon occurs approximately once every 33 months and is associated with an apocalyptic prophecy. - AZRIEL SILVER

Keep your eyes peeled for noctilucent "night-shining" clouds over the coming evenings and early mornings. The electric-blue wispy clouds appear towards the northern horizon approximately an hour after sunset and an hour before sunrise. 23:00 BST and 02:30 BST are ideal times.
