@MatSheltonEide There is one thing more in common than location with most of the highest attendance numbers- VCU VCU attends well in Brooklyn so proximity is not always a factor. Fun is. The DC tournament was VCU and Mason, but truly the largest ( by far) part of the crowd was VCU!

A-10 tourney title game attendance since VCU joined. DC was the perfect storm really with who made it. Also the last Boardwalk Hall (NJ) attendance number I could find was 5602 when UR played Dayton in 2011. I personally enjoy the current rotation.

@MatSheltonEide I would not call them old me ( feels too close to home, maybe). I agree that the staff there from security to greeters to my favorite the man checking ID's and doing armbands at the pregame lounge were all on task, friendly and engaging while being professional. They stood out!

Very random note, but the old men working the media entrance in Pittsburgh at this year’s A-10 tourney are total legends. The nicest group of old dudes I’ve ever met.

@MatSheltonEide Yes, that marketplace is worth a visit ! We tore ours down a long time ago and went to an open air market in 17th. Of course then we got rid of that.

With volleyball games all day and then March madness on the TV when my daughter wasn’t playing, I didn’t get to explore much of Philly, but the 2-block radius I was stuck in included this place and I thought it was just so awesome. I really wish we had something like this in RVA

@MatSheltonEide The only time I EVER attempted to Cheer for them was verses Butler that year (still cause me stomach pain that I did ). Well it turned out that it might have helped us in the FF but the f ODU had won that game.

This week I saw a video of the 2011 Old Dominion Monarchs cheering VCU‘s surprising at-large selection into the 2011 dance that they use to get to the Final 4. Changed my life.

@District_Baller Likely the greatest that ended in victory. We were trailing by much more to Pitt in the NCAA 2nd Round in 2007 and made the comeback and fell short in OT as I recall. ( I was there)
