This is a big step toward Geth proving. We analyzed 10 consecutive mainnet blocks, 81 overlapping blocks total. The overall ratio is about 4x — Geth Keeper uses roughly 4 times more cycles than Reth for the same blocks. Excluding outliers, it's 3.85x. @ethereum @go_ethereum #ETHCC

The recent SoK paper "Understanding zkVM: From Research to Practice" provides the first rigorous cross-system benchmark of zkVMs using a unified three-layer framework (ISA → Execution → Proving). > Appreciate the authors' work in establishing fair, reproducible comparisons across the zkVM ecosystem.(I also see there were lots of progress during his work) > A few observations from Ziren's(@ProjectZKM ) perspective: >> Ziren takes a deliberate architectural bet on MIPS32, prioritizing instruction regularity and constraint uniformity over RISC-V ecosystem convenience (zkVM level instruction efficiency). powdr-wasm is not limited to Rust. Any language that compiles to WASM can be proven. We demonstrate this with Keeper (Geth block verification), compiled to WASM via WASI and proven end-to-end on a Hoodi block. Go support is early and will keep improving.
