@zerohedge If AI truly has the disruptive potential it’s been advertised with, subsiding (paying for the damage caused by) economic changes with AI will either be normal or preached against. One has negligible but slight impact to the bottom line, the other could lead to local revolutions.

At 3:12 PM EST, Paxos mistakenly minted excess PYUSD as part of an internal transfer. Paxos immediately identified the error and burned the excess PYUSD. This was an internal technical error. There is no security breach. Customer funds are safe. We have addressed the root cause.

@PeterSchiff Peter you’re better than this. What if you broke a dollar into quarters, or pennies? What if you broke shares of stock out to units with 5 decimal points? Adding decimals doesn’t destroy value. You make no sense, and if anything this highlights the scarcity of only having 21M BTC

What if Bitcoin’s supply was 21B instead of 21M? Redefining each BTC as 100K satoshis (not 100M) keeps the satoshi supply the same. Would it still feel scarce? 100M is just an arbitrary construct. The supply of Bitcoin is actually meaningless—it’s the satoshi supply that counts.

It's ironic that #Bitcoin only hit $100k by buying off politicians and getting in bed with government. Without expected government intervention, this milestone never would have been hit. What couldn't be done in a free market was achieved through the cohesive power of the state.
