If the timelines work out right, next steam sale for Carter's Quest may end up being the last one before Act 2's release... I'm not QUITE ready yet to announce a date, but almost all of the content is ready save for the climax at the end and the side content. update post soon?

Nothing super crazy, but I finally wrote my own sequencer system so I can make stuff like this, where it's *like* a cutscene without being fully hand-animated, much faster. Hopefully this means more side content in general 🤞 because now it's a lot cheaper to produce

@iamcloudyfocus for most cutscenes though, I animate them entirely in blender and do all camera direction and stuff bespoke in a Unity Timeline track. never really thought I needed a more cheap approach but it definitely saves time at the cost of quality

@iamcloudyfocus it slots in well with dialogue because I just hold on the stage that initiated the dialogue until you click through it. not exactly where I want it yet (no way to preview the scene in editor, and the tool i built is pretty jank to use) but its Good Enough
