You know how a lot of artists works that include Gaster suddenly get corrupted or lost? Or how the mention of him seems to alter electronics in the vicinity? At this point I’m convinced the fandom just made an egregore of Gaster. He is real, we made him real.

@jmoriboy The main weakness if this theory is as a monster, Onion-san's body shoulde have turned to dust. But, at the same time, it seems monsters bleed in Deltarune, so maybe a monster can be killed and cooked.
But also like, aren't there burgers and hotdogs and stuff, are they made of-
