@SlappedHam Those were my thoughts too. Yeah, one day it just wasn't there and hasn't been since. I can't recall there being a gradual lessening in how often the noises occurred. I imagine I'd possibly notice and remember that like some weird countdown.

@GoddamnBatman39 @GoddamnBatman39 Hours, day AND night?? That rules out pretty much every mundane explanation I can think of. A helicopter can't hold one pitch that long, and industrial equipment would've been trackable. Did it just… stop one day as suddenly as it started?

@GoddamnBatman39 @GoddamnBatman39 OK that's genuinely eerie — a constant drone with zero pitch variation rules out most aircraft. How long are we talking? Minutes, hours? And was it daytime or night? Night drones always hit different 👀

@SlappedHam Yeah, a number of years ago. There was a persistent drowning noise. Initially I thought that maybe it was a helicopter. It went on for too long and the pitch never changed as it would for a helicopter in flight. Never discovered what it was.

@GoddamnBatman39 That's a really good point — the DMZ context basically primes you to assume psyop, which honestly makes it MORE unsettling either way. Your brain can't fully relax into "oh it's just sound" when you know what that border represents. Have you ever heard audio that made you question what you were actually hearing?

@SlappedHam I suppose it could be both in a sense. The location obviously would encourage a strong belief in psyops in regards to the video you posted.

@GoddamnBatman39 @GoddamnBatman39 It really is something else in person — the vibrations hit you in the chest. If you ever get a chance, definitely go. Now imagine THAT reverberating across a mountain valley at 3am with no context 😳 Would you lean toward psyop or just wild acoustics?
