Here's what I was working on! Vanilla with resource pack, no shaders. Lighting was baked in #Blender and custom scripts remap all the textures into #Minecraft. I only used ~40 diff blocks, each with up to 1500 block variants to make every block have unique texture & lighting 😉

@morrowmeadows @DarkRideArts true dynamic lighting is extremely impractical.
since it looks like nothing else is affected but those specific builds, id wager its simply all baked lighting.
light is precomputed from another program, like blender, then rendered onto a flat texture. and the builds are models

@Godlanderp Does it work with items larger than 1 tile? Just curious

@organic_chipset @Godlanderp @och0_8 I think this should work in a similar way
github.com/DartCat25/CEM-S
however, I'm not pretty sure how to add models, I think you have to directly modify the shaders for each model
and also, it should be a bit buggy with iris/Opti shaders on
English

@Loreeeeks @Godlanderp You can do it by having an armorstand ride the player with the desired model on its head and then setting the armorstands yaw to the players yaw repeatedly. I'm not sure if that's how godlander did it, but that's one way to do it.

Minecraft proves that abolishing child labour was a mistake. The children yearn for the mines.
