Students from Prof. Bauer and Prof. MacDougall’s classes engaged directly with objects from our collection through pXRF testing—an analytical technique that reveals the material composition of artifacts—alongside hand-sculpting responses inspired by their research. #GTM

The past few weeks we have been very excited to collaborate with Prof. Alexander Bauer (Anthropology) and Prof. Malcolm McDougall's (Sculpture) classes! Students selected Pre-Columbian objects from our collection and have been observing and scanning them into 3D printed forms.

This month, we honor the legacy of three civil rights heroes through prints by artist Ben Shahn. The works commemorate Andrew Goodman, James Chaney, and Michael Schwerner—young activists whose courage and sacrifice became a defining moment in the fight for equality. #BHM #GTM
