4th placed Leverkusen? That same 4th placed Leverkusen beat your almighty Manchester City 2-0 AT the Etihad. So when you call them 4th place like it's an insult... your beloved City couldn't even beat them at home. Make it make sense. 4th placed Atletico? That same Atletico eliminated Tottenham AND demolished your precious Barcelona in the quarterfinals. You know, Barcelona — the team your club couldn't get past. So yes, "4th placed Atletico" was actually doing the Lord's work taking out bigger names than your team ever faced this season. 3rd placed Sporting?. That same Sporting eliminated Bodø/Glimt — who humiliated your Man City 3-1 earlier. And before I forget, that same "3rd placed" Sporting beat PSG 2-1. PSG. With all their money and squad depth. Embarrassing route indeed 😏 Now let's talk about Arsenal's side of the draw. 8 wins from 8 in the league phase. Conceded only 4 goals. Then embarrased Bayern Munich — your Bayern — and Inter Milan. You know, the Italian champions. Teams with actual pedigree. And we did it looking like Champions. The truth is this: if your team were good enough, they would have been in this final. But they weren't. And no amount of tears will change the scoreline. Arsenal 2-1 Atlético. Buddapest, here we come. The route didn't embarrass us. It crowned us. 🔴⚪ COYG. Always.

Sometimes I laugh when people attack me here because of my football opinions. I have invested a lot into my club physically, emotionally and financially. I negotiated partnerships with Adidas, Budweiser, Nivea and many other brands for my football community. When Arsenal lost the league the first time 3 seasons ago, I spent millions of my own money to do a watch party to host Arsenal fans and I was mocked here. The reason I put all this effort is because at the very least, we are well recognized. The reason my community is large is because it was not built from glory hunting. I have been tweeting about football since 2010. I have seen players come and go. I have watched good and bad matches live since the early 2000’s. After our first watch party, I opened it up to other fans because I did not want it to be hostile to football lovers and people who want to network. A few City fans and Liverpool fans came for the first one. I figured, there’s no need to segregate a sport that brings all of us together. Not many people thought I would continue since Arsenal lost the title twice again but we have become a force and I can’t stop no matter what. I am grateful for the loyal 3000-4000 that always turn up no matter what! We will support Arsenal and whenever there is glory, there will always be a community that we built from the ruins to amplify that glory!

Some arguments we have on my Arsenal group chat shows me we all watch football differently. Someone is making a case that Vieira is better than Odegaard.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote appeared on Channels TV and insisted that Nigeria needs to urgently invest in power infrastructure to achieve true economic independence. In layman terms, he's wailing about lack of electricity. You can be sure of one thing: both the Nigerian government and local investors won't do anything about this call. Then eventually Aliko Dangote will find his way around building power grids that guarantee 24/7 electricity to consumers. Suddenly, you will start seeing all sorts of patriots from Ministry of Power, NLC, TUC, DISCOS, GENCOs, NEPA, PHCN, Nitel, Mtel, Econet, PTF, Celtel and even APC, ADC and PDP coming on air to educate you on the dangers of a monopolist like Dangote! ~ Ibrahiym A. UPDATE: The deal is sealed! This afternoon, the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab (@tokunbo_wahab), met with Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki (@tokunboxyz), a young innovator, who gained viral attention last Saturday for his daring proposal published on X, detailing how his startup can deploy technology to create seamless access to the newly-installed public toilets in strategic locations in Lagos. The viral post was brought to the Commissioner’s attention, prompting him to invite the whiz kid. Adetokunbo, in company of his startup partner, Ademola Gbadero, presented his idea to the Commissioner in about 30mins. They duo demonstrated how they developed a tech solution to solve similar challenges on their university campus, the University of Ibadan; the platform, the said, has successfully helped students locate clean and available toilets within the school. The Commissioner interviewed the young innovators in company of his cabinet colleague, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Geographic Information Systems (e-GIS), Dr. Olajide Babatunde, and the Director of Sanitation Services in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Dr. Sanuth. In their PowerPoint presentation, Adetokunbo and Ademola outlined their proposal for the development of an advanced model of their tech platform, which would enable commuters in Lagos to easily find clean and available public toilets in real-time using geo-mapping. They explained how their platform would provide users with information about toilet availability at every location, cleanliness ratings, walking directions and estimated time to walk to toilet. The Government team engaged the young innovators on their presentation, identifying areas for improvement and also highlighting potential limitations that could be addressed after the launch. Fascinated by the idea, the Commissioner approved Adetokunbo’s proposal. He also requested a comprehensive budget for the project be submitted in the next meeting coming in a few days. This project will further bolster the drive for a “Cleaner Lagos” being championed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki, 24, is a fresh graduate of Mathematics from the University of Ibadan. His colleague, Ademola Gbadero, is a 24-year-old final year student of Mechanical Engineering, at the same school. Caption: Adetokunbo in White native, Ademola in carton colour shirt.

Dear Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki, Thank you for showing interest in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s moves towards building cleaner Lagos and your support in protecting our environment. I’m writing you regarding your post quoting the tweet of Honourable Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. @tokunbo_wahab, where he announced installation of modern public toilets across Lagos. The Commissioner has asked me to reach out to you to discuss potential collaboration between your tech firm and the Lagos State Government. You are kindly invited to a meeting with the Commissioner this coming week. You will have the opportunity to pitch your ideas to the Commissioner and relevant stakeholders in the Ministry, especially how you aim to provide real-time tech solutions that will ensure seamless public access to the installed public toilets. I will send you further details via DM. Thank you. @jidesanwoolu @Mr_JAGs @Midatlblog
