@Lynne_Kelly Reading Knowledge Gene, just finished neurodiversity chapter. I received autism diagnosis (then aspergers) in 1988, when I was 11. I can memorise a poem but not what I was doing 5 minutes ago. My ability to visualise is poor, but not quite aphantasic.

I was so disappointed when he won the primary in 2020, at the time I would have preferred anyone else. But he rose to the occasion and completely surprised me. It made it all the more heartbreaking to see his repeated failures to stand up to Netanyahu.

Honestly I give a lot of credit to Biden here. For all his flaws—which have been on display this last year—he didn't try to marginalize the left after winning the primary, and as a result he's leaving the party more unified (and the economy in better shape) than it was coming in

@RottenInDenmark He may be naiive to think such an analysis can be presented on social media without being read as an endorsement of Vance, but as an autistic person that is a type of naiivity I recognise.

@RottenInDenmark I think you're being unfair. I've never heard of the person you quote tweeted, but he doesn't purport to be revealing some Deeper Truth. The stated purpose of his thread is to analyse the psychology of why Vance's line "seems believable for so many people".

@RottenInDenmark Some replies have taken him to mean "what is the factory that can be attacked to defeat the woke", but I think he means "what is the factory the woke have attacked/infiltrated that accounts for their otherwise inexplicable success". His whole post is a rorschach test I guess.

@guymrdth Of course, when we say "Imane Khelif isn’t even trans", the topic isn't Imane Khelif, the topic is the bigots, the point we're making is about *them*. The illusion of conceding ground occurs if people are manipulated into thinking that the topic was Imane Khelif all along.

Using inanimate objects as masturbation aids is in fact very normal, and you can't violate the consent of furniture. Is it about the hypocrisy of policing other people's sexuality?

@RottenInDenmark People should talk about masturbation more often, but in a non-judgey way, and not on the terms of an authority figure. Also, people should stop conflating masturbation with touching one's genitals.
