way they switched between the perspectives of the characters was really cool and helped to differentiate the different acts of the story. The twists were unexpected and added to the high level of suspense present through the film. This is definitely one you'll want to check out.

is very small, but they all deliver excellent performances that make you want to root for these characters to get out. Kazunari Ninomiya delivers a wonderful lead performance as The Lost Man and Naru Asanuma gives one of the best child actor performances recently as The Boy. The

but it is a consequence of using a different voice for one of the most iconic characters of all time. Overall though, this is everything you could want from a Mario movie and more. If you have kids, they will almost certainly love it. Highly recommend.

doesn't feel rushed or overstay it's welcome. The only real negative I have for this movie is that Chris Pratt's voice for Mario is a bit jarring for Mario, but only because he has such an iconic established voice already. Nothing against his performance as he does very well,...

impressive thing to me was the puppetry of Rocky. Rocky is extremely believable and I'm astounded by how much of him is practical. My one downside is that I felt like the movie was missing something. It has all the ingredients to be an all time classic, but it just didn't...

Project Hail Mary 4.5/5 The first blockbuster of the year is here and it delivers. Project Hail Mary is about an alternate earth where the sun, and all the stars are mysteriously dying off all at the same time. The exception is a singular star light-years away. In order to...

said, the movie was still fun and the jokes did land. The real standout to me was Margaret Qualley. She is phenomenal in her role and I wish she had more screen time. I'd recommend seeing this, but you can wait for it to hit streaming.

beautifully weaves the scenes together, but more important than that, it knows when to be loud, and when to just have silence. I knew very little about kabuki before watching this, but that is not an issue as the film explains the basics at the beginning as well what each play...

Kokuho 5/5 Breathtaking. Simply breathtaking. This is the art of film in its purest form. Kokuho tells the story of Kikuo, the son of a prominent Yakuza patriarch, as he pursues a career in kabuki. I'd like to start by saying I am not one for artsy films. I simply do not...
