As much as I'll miss it, I find it unethical to participate in a Twitter owned by a man mainstreaming literal fascists because free speech, yet who blocks me because I once tweeted something snarky about Tesla. So I'm stepping away while I decide whether to delete my account.

4/4 That said, pay no attention to anti-tax fear mongers. I turn 60 next month, and I promise you that I won't see a broad-based WA state income tax in my lifetime. Or probably, in anybody's lifetime. /end

3/4 So while it's disappointing to me that the majority chickened out on a historic opportunity to overturn a historically bad decision, they have at least opened the door to the possibility of a substantially less regressive and more efficient tax structure in WA state.

1/4 I'm going to break my 5-month Twitter boycott briefly to note that while the Quinn opinion declines to explicitly reexamine Culliton (WA's income tax ban) it certainly provides the legal precedent for doing so. At the very least, it greatly narrow's Culliton's scope.

To be fair to NYT, right-wing extremist political violence is in the process of becoming so commonplace that it soon won't be newsworthy.

Weird that with Republicans running TV ads essentially accusing Democrats of murdering children that somebody might try to assassinate the Democratic Speaker of the House.
