BREAKING: Lumpkin advances to Class AAA Tennis State Championship. The Indians took 2 of 3 singles matches and with both Doubles matches tied at one set each, Lumpkin took the #2 Doubles to clinch 3-1.

With yesterdays Area Tournament, it marks the end of the LCHS Golf Season! Proud of our kids yesterday. Final Results: Boys Finished 8th with low scorer Jac Chambers at an 81 and Jac finished 11th in individuals, Girls finish 7th, Nicole Sandberg finished 12th and shot an 86!

Wasn’t our best day on the course collectively, but still proud of the way our kids fought thru a tough course and brutal wind all day. A few standouts… Jac Chambers (82) finished 16th out of 78 male golfers. Nicole Sandberg (96) finished 12th out of 57 female golfers.

Jac Chambers stripes his tee shot down the middle of the fairway…. and we are officially underway at the @OfficialGHSA 3-AAA Area Tournament.

Lumpkin girls golf also defeated West Hall, 152-166. The sophomore duo of Nicole Sandberg and Mia Avina led the way again.

Lumpkin boys golf finishes the regular season with a win over West Hall, 190-229. All 6 guys in the 40s today, led by Jac Chambers and Preston Cox.

Lumpkin boys and girls golf swept Gilmer County today at Achasta. Jac Chambers led the guys to victory with a stellar 1-over, 37. Nicole Sandberg fired a 45 to lead the girls to a W.

The Lumpkin girls evened up their record by defeating Johnson 156-183. Nicole Sandberg finished with a match-low 47, followed by Mia Avina 51, and Mady Cole 58.
