Money is just 1s and 0s in the banking system. When we borrow money to buy a house or whatever, the bank gives us permission to pretend that they gave us money to give to the seller. In fact it created the money out of nothing, and simply altered its computer records accordingly.

I’ve always known I’d never receive a pension. I remember telling my dad when I was young that state pensions probably wouldn’t exist by the time I got to 60. I’m surprised they still do. They want the elderly, the ‘useless eaters’ dead. That’s now painfully clear. They’re coming at the over 65s from all angles. The goalposts keep moving. The closer I get to pension age, the further away the minimum age goes! Unless I get rich soon, I’m going to have to rely on my kids in my dotage. And that definitely wasn’t the plan. They’re struggling enough keeping themselves afloat. What are your plans for old age and retirement?
