@kaibro_repro I ask questions on representation BASED ON THAT. I am grateful I have other outlets that also align w/how I want to see the world. I know what power I have and don’t have and won’t have in this lifetime. Keeps me humbled and motivated to act. I don’t have the luxury of fantasy.

@kaibro_repro You’re supposed to not invoke eugenics as if that’s what we believe on any front, knowing it’s direct harm to us. Also maybe not assume ill will from your colleagues and editorialize that an announcement meant bragging about harming others.

Now that #SickleCell awareness month is ending, it’s time to move on to #SickleCell action month and #SickleCell innovation month and #SickleCell equity month until our health care system is as invested every day of every month as they are in every other disease.

@aishuarjun RIGHT! These ways of giving access have been studied to meet the needs of a workforce that is changing and, for better or worse, depends on employers for healthcare

@GoodGenesGC As GCs I think we need to be exploring all the different ways that we could be helping patients access the information and testing that they would like. It might not be our preferred way, but for a lot of patients, it is their preferred method of accessing info/care.

@Color I 💗 what I do and thankful a dear friend pioneered the way to get GCs in this place (👋🏾 Lauren)2 B in the convo about what real innovation looks like. Include everyone in ur talks. Spoiler alert: testing thru ur employer (that you DON’T do in front of everyone….TF?) is a PERK.

And then cascade testing isn’t free so that’s a problem? C’mon. Don’t do this. @Color (I’ll name it since you didn’t) does offer a great program for families and we aren’t the only one. You prefer perfect over progress? What a privilege.
