How big is a baby hippo? Join Bumpy for his morning weigh-in and find out! This time, our solid little fellow logged a sturdy 46 kilograms / 101 pounds – he’s gaining about three kilograms a week. Bumpy is one of our newest arrivals. His mother died, likely in a territorial fight defending her baby’s life. He spent at least a day huddled by her body before the Kenya Wildlife Service rescued him and brought him into our care.
