WHAT IS THE ‘BORISWAVE’? You may have noticed in recent years - and especially since the end of the pandemic - an increase in the number of visible migrants wandering around, standing and milling in transport hubs or on the high street etc or employed in low-level service roles. Many will also appear visibly confused by their surroundings and may behave in ways that are visibly foreign. Poor English, unusual clothing, queue jumping, milling, speakerphones, ‘out of it’ looking security guards at events or outside bars or shops, working at bars and can’t pour pints etc. etc. (You will have seen many examples online) Until even as recently as a few years ago, these kinds of scenes were still uncommon across much of the country That these are increasingly common scenes is a result of the ‘Boriswave’, the large (record) number of migrants especially from Africa and South Asia, but also from strange and novel places in a British context like South America, who were let into Britain under Boris Johnson. Boris was elected on a broadly populist platform but took the historic opportunity he was given, for some reason, to increase migration to historically unprecedented levels, even as compared to the David Cameron era, hence ‘Boriswave’ Many Boriswavers are mentally still fresh off the boat and will behave like they would in their home countries - and so encountering them can often be very incongruous and jarring. Not just because it is unusual to see Colombians or Eritreans or Bomalians in small English villages, though this is strange enough, but because the way many behave is ‘slightly-off’, obviously ‘not British’. It can reach into uncanny valley, Boriswavers interacting with their surroundings like they have been teleported onto - or in from - an alien planet Groups of Africans standing or walking along country lanes in the middle of nowhere - Boriswave The barstaff at the bar suddenly gone from being Italians to Indians - Boriswave Men in djellabas sat in train stations with large luggage bags blaring nasheeds on speakerphone from the Facebook video reels they are scrolling - Boriswave There is still time to not renew the Boriswave cohort’s work visas given that they were granted from 2019 onwards and in the main towards the end of COVID. Will the Government take the opportunity?

An obvious point, but the central axis of British politics is now the basic, essential stuff of national identity, which is not a battleground favourable to Labour. British politics in 2025 is merely a series of rearguard delaying actions to a Reform government.

BREAKING: Reed College has officially terminated its Community Safety Director for giving the identity of Portland Antifa militant Robert Jacob Hoopes to an FBI agent. Hoopes was arrested by the FBI for violently assaulting an ICE agent and launching several other attacks at the Portland ICE facility in June. He attempted to kill an ICE agent by throwing a boulder sized rock at his head. The Community Safety Director disclosed Hoopes identity to an FBI agent when approached, which led to his arrest. Reed College — a progressive leftist institute — said the safety director’s decision went against the college’s values. President Audrey Bilger did not condemn Hoopes’ violence against ICE.

What gets me about this is that there are countless examples of muggings, assaults and sexual harassment that don’t lead to the police arriving at an address and issuing an arrest. Politicians have created an era in which tweets supersede streets, and the public have had enough.

I am now the most banned author in the United States--87 books. May I suggest you pick up one of them and see what all the pissing & moaning is about? Self-righteous book banners don't always get to have their way. This is still America, dammit.

wrote today about how even if you've heard of Mississippi's surge in reading scores, you're probably underestimating it:
