This is also nonsense. Carbon capture technology has been under development since Harper took office. Quest, for example, started operations (with federal $) in 2015. And the new tax credit for carbon capture projects was part of this federal year's budget.

From Don Braid's latest column. Per-barrel emissions in the oil sands are actually *up* since 2018, while the methane reduction target was implemented by the Alberta NDP. And if the companies know they need to take "serious" action, why are they resisting it so strenuously?
