@bigdogpistons1 Personally, I would make that deal with no hesitation. Ausar is a "bad man" on defense, but I think that there is a "mystique" to players like Ausar where the Detroit fans value him more than other places would. I clearly see that as a long time fan from NJ.

@Goodguy430 @jaxgregory @TheSteinLine Nobody in the NBA is starved for a scorer like DeRozen He’s a dinosaur in today’s league He’s fine to add at $3M But you guys don’t understand the game at all

Overnight, @TheSteinLine reported the Pistons are “evaluating the prospect of pursuing Demar Derozan.” The best offer DET could make to DDR would be a vet min. The cap hit would be $2.45m. In spite of their roster crunch, if he would accept the backup 4 role, I’d be for this.

@Pistons__Talk I definitely thought that something was wrong with Stew (physically) in the playoffs, which compromised any impact that he could have.

The biggest thing being left out is that Isaiah Stewart clearly wasn’t 100%. He injured himself against the Magic during his eight-block game, and after that, he had very little lift. His minutes also decreased because Paul Reed was giving the Pistons more offensively. Stew is a passionate player. I wouldn’t describe any of those conversations as heated—he was simply frustrated.
Kalshi Hoops@KalshiHoops

Isaiah Stewart had multiple public heated moments with the coaching staff throughout the postseason, per @HunterPatterson. Timeline: • Just before halftime of Game 3 (vs. Magic), Stewart & Bickerstaff had a verbal back-and-forth while still on the court • Stewart then had disagreements with several coaches during the Pistons’ Game 7 loss (vs. Cavs) • Stewart was subbed out of the game and was reluctant to give Bickerstaff a high five • Luke Walton tried correcting Stewart’s behavior before Stewart brushed Walton off as well • Pistons assistant Jarrett Jack watched it all unfold, Stewart and Jack exchanged words before players had to separate the two (Via @TheAthleticNBA)

@TheDetroitElite @NBA I actually got into a debate with a stubborn #Pistons fan about why I thought Ron Holland shouldn't have been benched in the playoffs against the Cavs, which led to my logic of why not give Lanier more minutes if shooting was needed. Hoping this season is different.

@SleeperPistons If he plays well, all will be forgotten. If he comes into the season with some improvements in his offensive game that look like they could translate in the playoffs, people will jump back on the bandwagon.

Is anyone else kind of sad the entire Pistons fanbase turned on Jalen Duren? There’a definitely merit behind it but still, if he’s a Piston entering next season we should all be behind him! 💯 #Detroitbasketball

The #Pistons have officially annoyed me so far with this off season. Unless we get lucky with these rookies or make another move or two, I am not so confident. Just being honest

@HaedonMeyer @CotyDavis_24 I feel like I have been debating about Ron Holland all day lol. I know that he is not Ausar on defense; but I actually saw two Cavs defenders turn their backs on Ausar on the perimter, as they had no fear in him shooting the ball. If I am Holland, I would have been irked.

In the first installment of the #Pistons' offseason diary, I recently caught up with Ron Holland. Holland discussed how being excluded from the playoff rotation has driven him to train harder this offseason. He has not taken any vacation days yet and has no plans to do so.

@Pioneered04 @CotyDavis_24 My final comment is what I initially meant; when **** is as bad as it was on offense, you try anything at some point. And trust your eyes, things were that bad. So yes, Ron Holland should have been given another opportunity.

@Goodguy430 @CotyDavis_24 Dude that doesn’t even make sense. Lanier barely got minutes all year and wasn’t apart of the rotation. That’s not my logic. That’s your logic. Im talking strictly about Ron.

@Pioneered04 @CotyDavis_24 I can't do the back and forth on a frustrating #pistons playoff run. With your logic, Chaz Lanier (who I actually like as a shooter) should have been in the rotation. Some of the decisions probably were "political" (contract year, etc.).

@Goodguy430 @CotyDavis_24 So why stick another non offensive player out on the floor when you already have limited offense.

@Pioneered04 @CotyDavis_24 My main point was that they were at a point where the offense was stagnant with whoever was playing. Therefore, why "completely abandon" someone who played well during the regular season? It became painfully obvious at some point that the "needed offense" was not on the roster.

@nsitto2 Plus you potentially have 2 guys in the starting 5 that teams can ignore outside of 10 feet.

IN: -John Collins -Isaiah Joe -Ebuka Okorie OUT: -Tobias Harris -Isaiah Stewart -Marcus Sasser Definitely improved the shooting but the major problems that occurred for the Pistons in the playoffs still need to be addressed I think.

@Jumpshot8 EJ, I am so happy that you are one of the former players with a mic and platform who are not afraid to call it like it is. Instead of the Celtics saying that he is too outspoken for them, the reasons are hidden behind an analytics excuse.

@PistonsNationCP My push back would be that most of the "experts" said that the 60 wins were smoke and mirrors. They may have been correct based on the playoff results. My #Pistons need better shooting and some skill upgrades at certain positions. I want a better fit, damn the wow factor.

The Pistons won 60 games... And now they're losing key rotation players. Isaiah Stewart Jalen Duren (expected) Tobias Harris (per Chris Haynes) Duncan Robinson (per Brett Siegel) Most 60-win teams run it back. Detroit is doing the opposite.

@PistonsNationCP It will only be a mistake if he goes on to be a perennial All NBA type of player and a difference maker. We just witnessed 14 playoff games where he looked negatively "spellbound" 90% of his minutes.

The Pistons need to pay Jalen Duren. You don't let an All-Star caliber young center walk.

@SleeperPistons I am a realistic and longtime #Pistons fan. There is no way that I am paying Duren a MAX contract solely based on potential. In the 14 playoff games that were played, did anyone ever utter something like "Duren's fingerprints are all over this game?"

Pistons fans should keep this in mind: Huerter + Joe + Duncan + Levert = $50m in moveable salary which doesn’t even include Holland or Harris… The front office gains a TON of flexibility for piecing together salaries for a superstar trade. Stay tuned, Trajan is cooking! 👀🔥 #Detroitbasketball

I get it as fans of the #Pistons we are looking at this latest news on Duren as losing a piece to a 60 win team. However, I can't get this past post season out of my head.He did not look like a $40 mil a year player. I need someone who can score and read/react in the post season.

Did the #Pistons really have to trade up for Okorie? I am asking that question while honestly only seeing highlights of him play.
