One of the child abuse cases I helped pull through: Her name is Elizabeth. She plugged in an iron and used it to burn her stepson's buttocks. It took us one full week to track her down, she had fled Lokoja to the East. Her ancestors must have been watching over her, because the moment she stepped foot back in Lokoja, the guys were waiting to "mend her face." Thanks to the intervention, the child received skin grafting, all made possible by the support of the then Kogi State First Lady.
