@SeannachaidhS @The_Mighty_S @SSalyers2 We are well past the point where people feel they have to fit in by referring to themselves as a “new Scot” we are at the point where are moving to Scotland is seen as normal even for working class members of the English population. This has proceeded at an enormously rapid pace.

Independence is a matter of international recognition. International recognition for a newly independent state (or a state recovering its sovereignty), depends on either: a. negotiated secession from a lawful, unitary state or b. an act of decolonisation/liberation. In Scotland’s case, it must be recovery of sovereignty - given that there is no lawful union and no operative treaty. You cannot secede from a non existent state. The UK is in its legal and constitutional identity, England. Scotland cannot secede from England. This has always been an international issue and a matter of treaty law. Nothing we do domestically can resolve the international dimension. So step one is exposing the lie of the union and persuading the international community to support our right to recover our sovereignty. Step 2 is reclaiming the legal rights we have to our territory and resources, not through the Westminster admin (legal fact) at Holyrood but through campaigns like Salvo and then through a civic body which can act as a govt in waiting Step 3 Is a democratic event expressing the will of the Scottish people for which we need a genuine political wing of our liberation movement (And Liberation Scotland will not become a political party because it needs to unite the whole movement. We have SNP and non party members and Greens and we all work together without the slightest animosity.) Right now, we need minds and hands to the pump on Step 1, the international campaign and even more for the ‘reclaim our tights’ campaign, Step 2.

Compare and contrast. 2014: 'We have some oil in the shale and rocks, but it's not economically exploitable' gone by 2019 2025: 'North Sea oil and gas will be important for decades'. Scots will not fall for this egregious lie again. It's time for Independence.

@SSalyers2 I would suggest exposing England's 320 yr lie to Scots first. Anecdotally, people are incredulous to the thought that Scotland is a colony, that there is no 'Union'. It'll take a concerted campaign and consistent facts such as you post on here for instance.
