The number I always liked for the minimum game rule for end-of-season NBA awards is 62 games. That's just over 75% of the games. I liked that number last year. If that was the number now, there would be no controversy with Luka Doncic (64 games) or Cade Cunningham (62 games).

The NCAA won an appeals case today in another eligibility suit. The Ninth Circuit vacated a district court's ruling that granted Nevada baseball player Noah Blythe a 6th year of eligibility. Blythe argued that his JUCO seasons should not count against NCAA eligibility standards.

REPORT: Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel were both in Arizona for the NFL Competition Committee meetings in Phoenix before being photographed at the Ambiente resort on Saturday, March 28, 2026. According to eyewitnesses and photos published by Page Six on April 7, the two were seen having breakfast at 10:30 AM before spending an hour in a hot tub and later dancing and holding hands on a private rooftop bungalow.  Russini and The Athletic have clarified that she was on a hiking trip with a group of six friends, while Vrabel was visiting the area following a scouting stop at Arizona State. Both parties have firmly denied any rumors of an affair, labeling the photos as "misleading" and "taken out of context" while dismissing the speculation as "laughable." Russini maintains that meeting sources in public settings is a standard part of NFL reporting, and the league has stood by the "professional nature" of their interaction. #NFL | #NEPats

The overreaction to an innocent interaction between Mike Vrabel & Dianna Russini is 🤪. They’ve been friends for a long time, no more.

The NFL informed clubs today it will begin training replacement officials next month with the goal of preparing them for team visits starting June 1 if no deal can be reached with the referees union, per a memo obtained by NFL Network. The #Giants continue to add their O-line before the Draft, agreeing to terms with former #Ravens G Daniel Faalele on a 1-year deal, sources say. The 6-foot-8 Faalele started every game over the last 2 seasons and has a familiarity with several coaches, including John Harbaugh.

The expectation among many NFL teams is that the 2026 draft will be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory, according to multiple league sources. Specifically, on the defensive side of the ball — EDGE, CB and LB are all strong/deep — while WR is typically considered to be the most talented offensive position. Several executives I’ve spoken with believe we’re likely to see a flurry of activity in the first half of Round 1. Additionally, because this specific draft lacks depth in the later rounds, many teams plan to pursue extra Day 2 and early Day 3 picks, per league sources.
