Earlier today, Goodyear Police were involved in a critical incident near 1400 N. Litchfield Road. This remains an active investigation. Updates will be provided by the Avondale Police Department as part of the West Valley Investigative Response Team.

The Goodyear Police Department is working an Officer involved shooting in the area of Litchfield Road and I-10 fwy. A PIO is in route to the scene. Media is being asked to stage at 1313 N. Litchfield Rd. Please follow us here for additional information.

Case Update: On Saturday, 10/18/25 Goodyear officers were involved in a shooting near Dysart and Van Buren. Peoria Police have identified the subject as Christian Rosas, an adult male. No officers were injured. The investigation is being handled by West VIRT, led by Peoria PD.

GYPD is conducting an officer involved shooting investigation at the intersection of Dysart Road & Van Buren St. Media staging is located at Van Buren & Manzanita Drive. PIO is on scene and will give sound shortly.
