Astarion is a terrible character. Not only is he a badly written gay stereotype, he is an actively evil monster. You may like what you like, of course, but I think we'd be doing better at writing 'gay' characters by now. Yes, I know he is not canonically gay. Wyll and Gale make for far more convincing homosexual characters. Not to mention that he is wilfully cruel. He uses his previous abuse as an excuse to hurt and kill where and whom he pleases. Hell, the fiend tries to murder your character through trickery on your first meeting, and will then proceed to non-consensually drink your blood - likely planning for you to die as he does so. I've tried to get through his story but at every step of the way he has proven to be a power hungry monster. He is the worst sort of evil, the sort that is entirely pleasure seeking. He'd sooner be his master than try to right his master's wrongs. Considering the amount of deaths he has caused over two centuries I advise staking the fiend without delay, then hunting down his dark sire and giving it the same treatment. Am I too harsh? Am I correct? What are your thoughts?
