Supporting Arsenal FC from NYC. Not fussed about the theatrics the British media stir up.

The ruthlessness and desire of this team to win and send a message to City and Liverpool is something else. They’ve matured and have some debts to settle

If we won the Carabao & nothing else, this season under delivers If we win the PL or CL, we have arrived & no one is remembering the Carabao City were desperate, could've ended 3 competitions in 10 days We still have all the big ones in front of us & a reality check. Go again.

Great to see this message coming out. Nothing has been won. Go do the fun bit: finishing it.

I don’t think he is that smart
Gooneropolis@Gooneropolis

@jacktruthafc I genuinely think he knows there’s only one way this job ends and he thinks kitschy gimmicks is his best way to build his brand to land his next gig once Chelsea eventually pay him out

There is no consequence as a neutral if City win No one cares anyways and will hand wave the Pep / financial doping years People are worried if Arsenal have a winning run, as they should be, because we’ll have earned it & remind them so

There is part of me that thinks winning a Champions League final is such a coin toss and we will be running on fumes. But, man, would it be something if we won the domestic treble after all of the nonsense with our style this season. Arteta has us dreaming wild dreams 🙂

Why did Pep dress as if he was already unemployed for a Champions League knockout against Real Madrid? Is he that in his own head that he trying to project a calm, casual demeanor?

The Toni Kroos comparisons of Declan Rice’s goal is very welcomed The dream is he can become a similarly imperious mainstay for the next 5-7 years with us in the league and Champions League

I'm not worried about City chasing us down. Let them get humiliated by Madrid. Let's take care of our business with Leverkusen and get ready to hit them with a mental knockout in the Carabao. This isn't prime KDB City.

Brighton should have been awarded a penalty in their 1-0 loss at home to Arsenal, the KMI Panel has said. Gabriel Martinelli held back Mats Wieffer. The KMI Panel also ruled that Chelsea should have got an on-field penalty against Arsenal. bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

Good result for Chelsea: club fined only £10m and given a suspended transfer ban after Premier League found 36 separate undisclosed payments totalling £47.5m made “to 12 persons or entities on behalf of the club”. Lenient sanctions. No sporting sanctions. Yet these are serious offences, as the sanction agreement between the PL and Chelsea makes clear, stating “they were not only obvious and deliberate breaches of the rules but also because they involved deception and concealment in relation to financial matters”. Yet no points deductions. Just a manageable (if record) fine and a “suspended one-year first-team player transfer ban (suspended for two years)”. Surely they gained a sporting advantage by recruiting such players? So surely a sporting sanction should be in order? And where's the consistency? In 2008, Luton Town received a 10-point deduction for irregularities in dealing with agents (nb from FA). There still could be some further sanctions by the FA following its "ongoing investigation". PL points to mitigating factors: current owners Clearlake/Todd Boehly in May 2022 voluntarily self-reported potential historical breaches from the Roman Abramovich era. Club co-operated extensively and helped provide (with others) 10,000 documents for PL investigation. PL established “that between 2011 and 2018, undisclosed payments by third parties associated with the club were made to players, unregistered agents and other third parties”. Payments related to the purchases of players including Eden Hazard, Willian, Samuel Eto’o, David Luiz, Andre Schurrle and Nemanja Matic - there is no suggestion any were aware of the illicit payments. The detailed work of the investigators – and level of Clearlake’s co-operation – is impressive. The sanctions less so. It is a legitimate debate: should a club be punished for offences under a previous owner? Yes, most fans of other clubs would scream. It's a deterrent. And the value of those players' contribution and subsequent sales arguably still benefits the club. PL also investigated “potential breaches of the Premier League’s Youth Development Rules, committed by a former senior employee, relating to the club’s registration of Academy players between 2019 and 2022”. Again, self-reported by the club, this time in 2025. Chelsea punished with £750,000 fine and immediate nine-month ban from registering academy players from PL and EFL clubs. #CFC

@OllieHolt22 The Premier League simply doesn't want to fight large Private Equity let alone a Gulf State.

After the Premier League's pathetically lenient punishment, here's the question we ought to be asking: should there be asterisks against the Premier League titles Chelsea won in 2014-15 and 2016-17? dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…
