Imagine working 30–50 years, only to lose everything to cancer, kidney or heart disease, simply because you never embraced insurance early enough. Only about 1%–3% of Ugandans have health insurance. This is dangerous. It’s not that Africans deliberately avoid insurance—it’s because they don’t fully understand it. Many see it as a scam on their hard-earned money. I blame this on poor government sensitization.
