Used a Jigsaw Strategy to read the article "10 Brain Reasons to Make Reading a Habit" with my credit recovery class. Sparked great conversations about how only 15-30 minutes of reading a day can have important lifelong benefits! #TurntheTVoff
Students owning the learning today in AP Gov and AP Lang! "Supreme Court Oral Arguments" and students presenting on writing skills like transitions and defending with evidence. @OPS_Westview
Another great day! Student Ambassadors learned about branding, speaking and representing @OmahaPubSchool during their training. @OPS_Westview kept the cupcake tradition alive!
Always fun to honor students for doing great things! Congratulations to our AP Scholars as well as the AP students who passed exams and were recognized this morning for their accomplishments in the previous school year. @OPS_Gifted
@westviewlibrary provides such cool
opportunities to our @OPS_Westview students! Virtual author visit with @GretchenMcNeil. I loved reading her novel #murdertrending this month for book club and having connections with students through literature!
This week has been packed with great things @OPS_Westview! @MidwestAdaptive came out and we got to play wheelchair basketball, freshman seminar shared information about famous inventors with their peers, drama performed their skits on stage and psych discussed gender and norms!
Had such a great experience today at the Nebraska Diaper Bank with @OPS_Westview freshman seminar students. Learning how to be civic and global contributors is a little easier when we practice what we preach!
