Friendship is a powerful in English Language acquisition. Through collaborative art making a Year 1 new arrival student and her friend created ‘Gosford Friends’ to remember their friendship, the water, mountains, pool and chicken shop in Gosford making them happy as elves! #EALD

DP @JessicaMalu4 witnessed an inspiring art workshop today where HP&G students in the creative domain collaborated with a parent volunteer from the New Arrivals Program. They explored the theme 'A Wonderful World' & shared messages through translation software. #EALD #HPGE #art

🎶 Today K-2 students went on a musical journey with the incredible @MusicaVivaAU. Students learnt about percussion instruments found in the home and used body percussion to create their own soundscape of a rainy day in the Australian bush! 🎶 #music #percussion #instruments

This week GPS students experienced iSkies' Cosmodome Planetarium! The presentation & movie about our solar system supported the St 3 Science unit and space lessons. It was an incredible event that stimulated students' curiosity and left them astonished! #LoveWhereWeLearn

What a way to kick off Wk 5! Our Chapman Band teach us about countries & cultures through music. After rehearsing for over a term, they were finally ready to perform Byzantine Dancers from Turkey, Loch Lomond from Scotland and You Can't Stop the Beat from the musical Hairspray!

This week, the students of GPS engaged in a Write Well lesson using a live whole school writing stimulus to create an imaginative text. The use of a live writing stimulus provided rich discussion about descriptive language and language devices. #writingprompt #writing #curiosity
