@tii_bag It’s illegal to make people work without compensation. This is a bs story. No way hr would have approved that since they’re all about keeping the company afloat. They’re all about limiting liability and this post just flies in the face of that. Fake as hell.

Yesterday during a meeting at work HR suggested that everybody stays late for an extra 1 hour everyday since its a peak period for supplies produced by the company. All the top officials agreed but the other employees seemed not to agree yet everyone stayed silent until this one gen z coworker asked if that was paid overtime or just expected. HR said it was unpaid coz it was just an extra hour for a certain period. The gen z replied, " We always receive a paycut if we don't meet maximum production. I don't think it would be fair to work more time,which means more production without extra pay." HR was furious. The boss said they would look into that,today everybody received a confirmation it would be paid overtime and it would be optional too.
