In 2022, we began a project with an ambitious goal- simulate the effects of climate change in the cloud forest by removing epiphytes from entire trees. I am so excited to see this, our first product, in print! It sure took a village! sciencedirect.com/science/articl… @UKAgriculture

My students in Tree Biology are learning about wood structure and function. This white oak core shows large, early-season vessels that move more water when it is abundant and late-season vessels (tiny) that move less water but withstand drought. @UKAgriculture #forestry

After a year and four months of discussions, prepping, collecting pilot data, and constructing preliminary models, I am happy to say, proposal submitted! Fingers crossed. Back to the trees.
