Govan Weavers Society

Monday 3rd of June was our AGM. our new deacon John Harris was presented with his chain of office by past deacon John Comrie. Graham Hills is our late collector for the coming year.

As well as entertaining us at the annual dinner the pupils also worked with Ibrox staff and Gleneagles staff in presenting and serving the food.

As usual entertainment was provided by the pupils of Govan High School at our annual dinner. Thanks to Mrs Bonner and the staff and pupils of the music department.

Our annual dinner was held on 14 June at Ibrox stadium.

Later at a ceremony at the Govan war memorial past deacon Andy Letham laid a wreath on behalf of the Govan Weavers Society.

At 600am today Thomas Rankine a Govan High pupil played his bagpipes along with a past deacon Andy Letham of the Govan weavers and FP of GHS at the war memorial in Govan. Playing "The battles over"

Vivianna Former pupil of GHS and on duty tonight at our 242nd annual dinner. The sheeps heid on it way to the top table.
