Isiolo County has taken a crucial step in securing community land rights, with Cherab and Chari now officially registered. This Certificate of Registration marks the first phase, paving the way for land surveying, which will lead to the issuance of Community Land Titles. In Garbatulla, the adjudication process has been completed in partnership with the Ministry of Lands. The next phase involves surveying parcels, securing public utility areas, and issuing land ownership documents. This will also ensure fair compensation for projects like the Horn of Africa Road. To enhance land governance, the county through a partnership with FAO under the Digital Land Governance Program is establishing a GIS lab for digitizing land records. A spatial plan is also being finalized to improve land use management and urban planning, fostering sustainable development. #IsioloRisingKE

This morning, alongside Isiolo Women Rep. @muminabonaya, I had the honor of meeting Deputy President H.E. @KindikiKithure at his Official Karen Residence. We discussed key development priorities for Isiolo County. These included fast-tracking the operationalization of Oldonyiro Sub-County by year-end, pending the appointment of a new Internal Security Cabinet Secretary. We also stressed the need to complete ongoing road projects in Isiolo CBD, with an extra 10 km extension to boost connectivity and economic growth. To address security concerns, we advocated for National Police Reservist (NPR) recruitment across Isiolo. We also emphasized the importance of expanding power infrastructure to underserved areas and improving network connectivity in remote areas like Daaba and Iresaboru to enhance communication. We congratulated the Deputy President on his recent appointment and look forward to close collaboration to advance these initiatives for Isiolo. #IsioloRisingKE

Later in the afternoon I joined Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo (@GovGuyo) for an extensive tour of the proposed Isiolo Meat City Special Economic Zone. Isiolo Meat City is an integrated industrial complex spanning over 500,000 Acres that will include animal feedstock Zones, Abbatoirs, a Leather Park and Bio-Energy.

I have this afternoon led my Executive, leadership of County Assembly of Isiolo & County residents in a joint launch of Isiolo County Corruption Risk Assessment.This is a precursor event to the commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day that will be on 9th December 2021.

In today's occasion we celebrated the launching of 740 KM bitumen road from Isiolo to Mandera which will be done in four sections. We believe after its completion,this road will make significant contribution to the socio-economic growth and development of our region.

I have this morning hosted my colleagues @governorkiraitu, @aliroba and @GoVMohamud from  Meru, Mandera and Marsabit counties for the  launch of  Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project  (HOAGDP) at Elboran Hotel, Isiolo.

On this Mashujaa Day I want to wish every Kenyan and more so residents of Isiolo County a joyous celebration. Let's us uphold peaceful coexistance even as we remember our great Men and Women that fought for our freedom from colonial masters. Happy Mashujaa Day.

I have today joined by my County Secretary @GalgaloAhmed flagged off more food to cushion our people from the adverse effects of the raging drought.

My government is committed to cushion our people against the devastating effects of the current drought. I will personally ensure that food distribution efforts by my administration reach as many vulnerable households as possible.

I have today attended a Regional Consultative meeting presided over by Rt.Hon Former Prime Minister @RailaOdinga that brought together leaders from Northern Kenyan. We discussed issues that affect our region & the nation at large.
